Disc Filter Building
The following modifications are taking place within the Filter Building:- Modification to existing disk filter units with custom manufactured new filter panels to replace worn original equipment filter panels and improve final filtering capability
This project began in the Summer 2019 with a completion date of Spring 2023.I-294 Tollway Expansion
The Tri-State tollway is undergoing a massive expansion. The following details Flagg Creek Water Reclamation Districts involvement in this project:- Relocation of FCWRD sanitary sewers along I-294 between mile post 24 and mile post 25.5, and between mile post 26.5 and 27.3, including installation of new storm and sanitary sewers, manhold and junction chambers
- Jacking of proposed sewers
- Removal and/or abandonment of existing sewers and manholes
- Removal and replacement of shoulders as necessary
- Mainline pavement patching as necessary
- Drainage improvements
- Permanent and temporary erosion control measures
This project relating to FCWRD began in the Winter 2019 with a completion date of 2022.New Highland Hills Lift Station
This Lift Station is located in Lombard. The old two screw pump lift station is being replaced with a new lift station built next to it. Below is a list of new features and improvements:- Three (3) submersible pumps inside a new precast concrete wet well with new valve vault and new flowmeter vault
- New electrical service and new exterior mounted control cabinet with climate-controlled interior
- New and efficient natural gas fueled generator
- Old existing lift station and its cast-in-place wet well removed and old station site cleaned, graded and lanscaped to match surrounding area
This project began in the Summer 2018 with a completion date of Summer 2022.New Ginger Creek North Lift Station
This lift station is in Oak Brook. The old lift station is being replaced with a new lift station close to and up the hill from the old station and away from the lake. Below is a list of new features and improvements:- Three (3) submersible pumps inside a new precast concrete wet well with new valve vault and new flowmeter vault
- New Electrical service and new exterior mounted controls cabinet with climate-controlled interior
- Conversion of existing old lift station wet well into a regular collection system vault with manhole access
- Demolition of existing old lift station pump room dry well including grading, paving and landscaping old station site
This project began in the Summer 2018 with a completion date of Summer 2022.
